Life Stories and CitizenShift

When I was began working on the Life Stories Montreal project with the Department of Oral History and Storytelling at Concordia University, my plan was to build a podcasting platform. Sometimes, it's better not to reinvent the wheel. Instead, through a partnership with NFB's CitizenShift site, we were able to host and distribute the video and audio displayed on the site. This not only saved on development costs, but exposed the Life Stories content to NFB's audience and distribution network. Partnerships are a good thing.
